Developing LiberOsto™ for people who use drainable ostomy pouches.
OstoVersa Care Ltd. is a Canadian medical device company. It is preparing to make LiberOsto™ available to people who use drainable ostomy pouches following intestinal or urinary diversion surgery.
LiberOsto™ is a Class I medical device designed in Canada and co-invented by two specialist physicians, including one with personal experience of living with a temporary ileostomy.
The development of LiberOsto™ has been informed by feedback from people living with ostomies, including respondents to a survey made available through the United Ostomy Associations of America website.
The underlying technology is protected by utility patents issued in multiple jurisdictions, including Canada. Additional industrial-design and trademark protection is being pursued in selected jurisdictions.
